I had to smile when I read the opening paragraph of Graham Hills piece in today’s Sunday Mercury about the ‘Bruce out brigade’ holding their meetings in a phone box. I think this weeks meeting is being held around a desk top computer with Internet access. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
KRO Steve you’re doing a great job

There's a flip side to that coin
Another article I read said the ONLY person who had 100 per cent faith in Steve Bruce.........was Steve Bruce himself
The polls in the papers,on the internet and even the votes on this very board send the same message ........MORE than half of Blues fans would like Mr Bruce to leave.......voluntarily or involuntarily
KRO Steve ........you've done a lousy job for more then 2 years now
Ever heard of the expression 'Back to Square One' ???

Thats the funny thing because at the matches since Norwich there has not been a murmour of discontent.
In another post you say
- Quote:
-
Many Blues fans are very unhappy about the widespread decline of the club (both on and off the field) and the last thing we want is firstly the manager to start dissing the fans and then the rich owner to join in...
But if you read your post above are you not doing exactly the same thing? as you are quick condem them for.

The Anti-Bruce brigade? they, we are still there and in large numbers, but we are a pragmatic lot and as we are winning there is not much point in banging on about him going.
But those wins have not been coupled with good performances have they? The crowd is hardly buzzing is it?
Remember when we were first promoted, the first few games, against Leeds, against viler? Now there was a crowd buzzing with excitment, with the feeling that we were going to do something special. But that great feeling only lasted 2 seasons then we started to slip, the team looked like it didnt have a clue and it continued slipping until we arrived where we are to day. What was the cause of this change? why did the atmosphere die (and still not returned)? Why did our strikers become allergic to goals? What happened to those batteling displays?
Now if Bruce takes credit for winning, getting us promoted and the first two seasons in the Prem then he is also responsible for the downward spirel as well.
Well we will see if Bruce has what it takes to dig deep and to turn our fortunes but remember the Anti-Bruce brigade will be waiting to start the clamour for him to go should he prove that he can't.
We want Blues to be a club that plays with passion, that when the team takes the field the crowd swells behind them and acts as the 12th man, we want a team that would die for the cause and in this I THINK PRO AND ANTI CAN FIND COMMON GROUND.

No the crowd is not buzzing.

what i guess could be described as BIG games so obviously the atmosphere was going to be good much like the Ipswich lge cup game much like the Barnsley play off game, the rest of the time St Andrews is fairly quiet. i wish the old board was still online so i could copy some of the posts about this very issue.

This where we will have to agree to disagree. as i think he along with the board are equally responsible. too complacent springs to mind.

Thats what i find odd there is a eliment that will not let that happen. they cannot put their differences on one side and back the team.

Nice sentiment but alas i fear that will never happen. as some have ventured so far down the negative road to do a u turn now would be unthinkable.

Not Plymouth but apart from that yes . . . . . .
Like I said before the fans need to unify and find common ground. Now as Bruce is not going anywhere this season I have suggested else where that we stop infighting and concentrate on getting behind the lads. We all want wins, we all want to make St A's a fortress, these are the common areas I have spoken of and ones we can all get behind.
But don't think that just because we are quiet that we have gone away, just like after the Norwich game when all the pro bruces vanished I knew they would be back.

I agree with you that the Board has some responsibility in what has happend.
I am not asking for u-turns though, just for people to hang their opinions up for awhile and to get behind the team.
I may be ******* in the wind but I will still try.

Vile fans can infiltrate all of them polls. 95% of travelling fans have been chanting Bruce’s name in support of him. No infiltration there me old mucka
I would suggest that a large number of the fans attend away matches for the social occasion, not the football, and probably their minds numbed by the booze! How else would you account for the difference in away vocal support compared to home games?

The vocal support away from home is always better than away from home.
But thats just not Blues that is every club, why do people think its only Blues??

I had to smile when I read the opening paragraph of Graham Hills piece in today’s Sunday Mercury about the ‘Bruce out brigade’ holding their meetings in a phone box. I think this weeks meeting is being held around a desk top computer with Internet access. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
KRO Steve you’re doing a great job
Well said. Oh, by the way, Blueshrew, were you  when we were being relegated last season so abjectly?
Some tough games coming up - let's concentrate on backing the team and not posting inflammatory comments designed to wind up other people. After all, who exactly do you support: Birmingham City or Steve Bruce?
